About
Mike Nowson leads Atelier Terra from Noosa, Queensland. The practice takes a selective approach, a small number of commissions each year, each given the attention the brief deserves. Work spans residential architecture from $1.5M upwards, boutique hospitality, and retreat properties across the Sunshine Coast, the hinterland, and internationally.
Mike is ARBV registered (#1024) and a member of the Australian Institute of Architects. His writing appears at Thinking, considered essays on climate, material, and the craft of building.
Experience
International project experience spanning Bali and the Mediterranean informs the practice's approach to warm regionalism, architecture that sits in its climate and its site rather than against them.
